Bentley was founded in 1919 by H.M. Bentley and W.O. Bentley. Bentley is a British brand of high end luxury vehicles. Their strategy was to build a good car that was also fast and the best in it’s class. All Bentley vehicles go through a 500-650 point check list depending on model. This ensures the highest quality standards and unmatched details are met. Even the front Grille on today’s Bentley models are a nod to Bentley’s original models that had a simple mesh grille. Bentley leather is only from northern European cattle that have better leather hides. Bentley also offers over 120 standard color choices from the factory.

Unfortunately limited sales caused by the Great Depression in 1931 forced Bentley to sell the company. Bentley was purchased by Rolls-Royce. In 1980 Bentley and Rolls-Royce were acquired by Vickers. Vikers initially offered the brand for sale to BMW however they were outbid by VW. In 1998 Bentley was officially sold to Volkswagen Group and they retain ownership of the Bentley brand to this very day. Interestingly BMW continued providing engines and parts for Bentley until 2002. This move was to allow VW time to setup their own engine production.
