It was a tumultuous time for Alfa Romeo, and ownership of the company transferred to Nicola Romeo (hence the second part of the company’s name). The company became public with its new moniker in 1918, with manufacturing resuming soon after in 1919. More and more cars went on to be instrumental forces in the racing world and beyond. Many racing champions have owned or raced an Alfa Romeo. To this day, aspects of racing such as streamlined design, elegance, and balance get integrated into each Alfa Romeo vehicle.
