Infinity Service & Repair

Infinity is a luxury automobile brand owned by Nissan. The Infinity brand was founded in 1989 following the success of Honda’s launch of the Acura brand. Infinity cars are sold under the Nissan brand name in Japan.  The first two models of Infinity offered in the United States were the Q45 and the M30. The Q45 featured a 278Hp V8 engine and the M30 had a 162Hp V6 engine. Throughout the years Infinity continued to grow and offer more models. Nissan wanted to separate the Infinity brand. Their strategy would be to become “Japan’s BMW”. The G series was designed to compete directly against the BMW 3 series. Other Infinity models such as the M35 and M45 did extremely well in tests for Consumer Reports and Car and Driver magazine. Since the brand started over a million Infinity automobiles have been sold to North America, most of them being sold in the United States.

For the first time since Infinity’s inception 2011 marked the first year that front wheel drive cars joined the Infinity model line up. A majority of Infinity’s vehicle line up is based on the Nissan FM Platform. Many changes were added to the Infinity line up in order to market their vehicles to more female buyers.

In 1996 Nissan pushed the Infinity brand into Indy Racing. A racing engine was used based on the VH Engines used in the Infinity Q45 Models. Infinity eventually withdrew from Indy Racing in 2002 however they continued in Formula 1 racing even to this day.
