Porsche Service & Repair

Porsche is an automotive brand founded in 1931 Stuttgart, Germany. The company was founded by the brilliant man known as Ferdinand Porsche. The Porsche emblem is a combination of the coat of arms for Stuttgart and the coat of arms for the people’s free state of Wurttemburg. Porsche originally did not start out producing vehicles but they provided automotive consulting for other manufacturers. One of the first jobs they consulted on was building a car for the German people. That car would become known around the globe as the Volkswagen Beetle. Ferdinand and his team began construction of the 356 Porsche using Volkswagen beetle parts since materials were scarce in post war Germany. The 356 used engine, transmission and suspension components from the Volkswagen Beetle. Ferdinand was a big believer that he could build a faster small car than the other manufacturers that were producing larger cars with more power. Early Porsche models were known for their air cooled engines. Using air cooled engines helped Porsche cut down weight in coolant and other water cooling accessories such as water pumps and radiators. Porsche ended up switching to water cooled engines in the late 1990s. Porsche vehicles are also known for being extremely reliable, over 78% produced in the past 25 years are still on the roads.
