As we mentioned, the Elite started the trend of vehicles beginning with the letter E. From there, Lotus has produced the Evora, Evija, Exige, Europa, Elise, Esprit, and Elan.

Team Lotus came to be in 1958
The sister company, Team Lotus, joined Formula One in 1958. In 1960, the Lotus Formula Driver, Stirling Moss, won the marque’s first Grand Prix at Monaco. It wasn’t until 1994 that Team Lotus ended its participation. However, the Lotus name returned to Formula One for the 2010 season.
